Why you should use grip tape on your shaft

Matt Danowski: Taping Your Stick

Strategically wrapping your shaft with grip tape can help you become a more consistent lacrosse player. Put a thin strip of grip-tape on the parts on your stick where you usually grip the shaft to catch, cradle, and shoot. Grip tape in these places serves two purposes. The grip tape will help you feel where your hands should be placed to cradle, shoot, or pass as your hands slide along the shaft. The grip tape will also help you grip the shaft and the stick can’t be knocked from your hands as easily.
