Set off-ball picks
Try setting a pick for a teammate who doesn’t have the ball. This will help your teammate get open so he can score. Setting off-ball picks is especially effective when there are multiple offensive players playing near the crease of the goal, like in a 2-2-2 offensive set. Instead of both players cutting towards the ball or trying to get open for a feed, one player should set a pick for the other. The player not setting the pick should then quickly move to open space in front of the goal, call for the ball, and score. Setting off-ball picks will often cause lots of confusion for the defense and will leave offensive players wide open.
